George Kohlmann was born and raised in South St. Paul, Minnesota. The left-
handed pitcher brings a wide array of experience and tenure from a life spent
competing on the mound. Proud to say he originally learned to pitch baseball by
playing catch with his dad in the front yard for many years in his youth, George is eager to share the lessons and experience he’s obtained with young pitchers so they can enjoy pitching more and improve their game.
A four-year varsity baseball starter, in 1998, George tied South St. Paul High
School’s record for wins in a single season, going 7-0 in conference play. He
finished his senior year leading the conference in strikeouts and had the
conference’s lowest ERA while being voted the team’s ACE pitcher and earning
Honorable Mention All-State Honors in Minnesota.
In 1999, George was awarded the first of two of his college baseball scholarships
to pitch JUCO baseball for Bethany in southern Minnesota. George pitched in the 1999 and 2000 Minnesota State Junior College Championship Games, going the distance in both games to win Bethany’s first ever back-to-back Minnesota State Championships.
2001 saw George get awarded another baseball scholarship to finish his college
career at South Dakota State University, playing for the SDSU Jackrabbits. Here,
George held roles as a starter and a reliever pitching for the rich baseball tradition college. George spent the summers pitching and playing in the Class-A Minnesota State Amateur Baseball League before relocating to Florida in 2009 where he pitched with the Melbourne Mayhem over 10+ years, finding himself among his peers in the pitching record books.
George has a true passion for the game of baseball, and he would love to help any young player to become a better pitcher. If you want your player to learn and develop as a pitcher, George will provide a truly enjoyable experience that will help bring out the best your player’s potential to be the best they can be.
